He provided tools and software for geo-hydrological modeling and for sustainable land use management.
Francesca Vergari

recently appointed co-coordinator of the Badland Working Group of the International Association of Geomorphology, has carried out studies on the spatio-temporal variations of erosional processes and factors, also after geomorphometry and monitoring techniques, with a particular focus on the human impact on the badland landscape evolution.

Dr. Kala Samadharmam is a Senior Scientist under NRM in ICAR and has 15 years of field research and extension experiences in conservation forestry and ecological restoration for natural resource conservation using integrated bioengineering or rehabilitation approaches for gullies and ravine lands adjacent major Indian River system distributed in the North-Western part of India.
Enyew Adgo
Professor of Soil Fertility Management at the Department of Natural Resource Management, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and Vice President for Research and Community Engagement of Bahir Dar University (BDU). Author of numerous publications and contributions, project fundraising and coordination as Principal Investigator.

Dr. Donghong Xiong is currently a professor of soil science and physical geography from Institute of Mountain Hazards & Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Jean Poesen
Jean Poesen, a geographer, is an emeritus professor at KU Leuven (Belgium) and a research professor at UMCS, Lublin (Poland). His research focuses on soil erosion processes and soil conservation in various environmental settings.
Wilkinson Scott
Dr. Wilkinson leads research in locating, characterising and managing sediment sources in large semi-arid river basins including those draining to the Great Barrier Reef. He is passionate about managing landscapes to prevent and control gully erosion. Recent topics include geomorphic change detection using lidar, radar and optical remote sensing, and evaluating the cost-effectiveness of gully rehabilitation.
Robert R. Wells
Dr. Wells is a Research Hydraulic Engineer with the Watershed Physical Processes Research Unit located in Oxford, Mississippi. His research integrates multiple disciplines — including hydrology, soil physics, hydraulics, sediment-transport mechanics, channel erosion and engineering design — into a unified programme that assesses the impacts of climatic, animal and human management systems on agricultural landscape evolution, with particular emphasis on reducing sediment loads and improving the balance between long-term ecological integrity and enhanced agricultural yields. He leads the ongoing development of the USDA computer model RUSLE2.
Francesca Todisco
Dr. Francesca Todisco is a Professor of Hydrology and Water Resources Management at the University of Perugia, where she also serves as the Principal Investigator of the SERLAB Soil Erosion Experimental Station. Her extensive research focuses on the monitoring and modelling of water-induced soil erosion, spanning both hillslope and basin scales. Dr. Todisco’s work has significantly contributed to enhancing the understanding of the erosion process, its impacts on water bodies and water harvesting systems, and the evaluation of remediation strategies for soil conservation and protection, contributing to advancing soil erosion science and its practical applications.
