For European travelers, one option is flying directly to the Umbria International Airport “San Francesco” https://www.airport.umbria.it/en/home-en, mostly having European and national connections.

Bus connections from Rome to Perugia (https://www.sulga.it/en/lines/) and from Florence to Perugia (https://www.rome2rio.com; https://www.omio.com/) are available.
